Minutes to Fame
''Minutes to Fame'' () is a game show broadcast on Hong Kong's TVB. The show is intended to be satirical and funny, since most of the contestants are unexperienced and try to get famous.
==Format==
On the show, regular Hong Kong citizens appear as contestants on stage to sing and perform. Their objective is to remain on stage for as long as possible, before the judges ring a bell to eliminate them. For each second the contestant remains on stage, the contestant is given HK$100. The judges are often harsh and make fun of them directly.
Though mostly a competitive show, the laugh track is heavily used instantly whenever one-liners or off-key singing was present. But sometimes it happens whenever spot-on singing happens if the contestant has an unusual appearance. Note that most Hong Kong variety shows use laugh tracks heavily for network purposes.
